Times square is like no other place on earth! Never a trip goes by that we don’t make our way to the center of NYC, where the lights, smells, sounds, and interesting people always put on a good show. It is also the hub for Broadway Shows, and this evening we saw the classic Phantom of the Opera! It is hard to beat Andrew Lloyd Weber. Though we knew we were testing the limits of seeing the show with a 7 year-old, he was memorized and made it the entire 2.5 hours!
Why would we take our young son to such a show you might ask? It happens to be my favorite musical and I was willing to cover his eyes during the few seconds of frightening scenes to see it. Call me a bad dad, but the kid loved the show, really. Afterward we chowed down at the very chic Havanah Central Restaurant and Bar and listened to some live classic Cuban music. All in all a very cool night.
