We have some amazing air museums in Oregon! I’m not sure why we are so lucky, but if you are into planes you should consider checking out the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum, Classic Aircraft Aviation Museum, and Tillamook Air Museum where the image today was taken. It’s hard to put into words just how massive the inside of this plane is, but take my word for it, it’s massive!
IT’S NOT EASY BEING GREEN
E.M. Forster said “We must be willing to let go of the life we have planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us.” Yet learning to let go is perhaps one of the most challenging of all life tasks! Doing so goes against our deeply engrained habits, routines, and daily schedules that enslave us to the status quo. Maybe that is why the rewards are so great for the few who are willing to risk failing. There are no guarantees in life, but one thing is for sure, if you don’t risk you will continue to get exactly what you are willing to put up with.
It’s not easy being green – going against the grain – because the status quo will always come up with reasons to not change. While our family is in the midst of a lot of change right now, the words below came to me while meditating this morning like a blast of clarity. Always appreciative for these gifts!
We are a family of three
Leading an uncommon life
In pursuit of our true nature
Using the world as our classroom
Embracing our oneness with others
Learning what is important
Living for experiences not stuff
Being kind to animals and the planet
Eating a whole-food plant-based diet
Engaging our creativity and natural talents
Prioritizing our family and friends
Spending contemplative time in nature
Helping others through service
