As I get older, my distain for night flights has increased. Even the travel pillow I decided to try on this trip did not help much. Thankfully, the Hyatt Place was great about getting us a room even though it was so early. We crashed for a few hours before making our way to see Dr. H. The appointment went well, but she reaffirmed why it’s so important to have good benefits if you live in America. Now in transition, we are not welcoming the price of Cobra for insurance.
Because this trip also served as a stopover on our way to Iceland, we had not done our normal planning. Kelly wanted to hear an outdoor concert, and Trevor was excited to get back to another National Comedy Show. So of course we ended up seeing the Broadway rendition of Rocky!
It was an amazing stage show, complete with a heart-pounding final showdown between Rocky and Apollo Creed. While entertaining in many ways, we all left feeling a bit let down, particularly Trevor. There was too much love story, difficulties hearing actors, and not enough motivating emotion you come to expect from Rocky. But we had purchased partial-view seats at a major discount so all was not lost. And the sets were extremely creative and well worth seeing.
