One of our favorite series is White Collar which is filmed all over New York City. I know Kelly has been hoping we run into Matt Bomer, but so far no such luck. Recently, life seems to be mirroring the show with another arrest in the $80 million dollar art forgery scheme, that has included Rothkos and Pollocks.
The first arrest of Glafira Rosales last September, a dealer from Long Island, has now been followed by the capture of Jose Carlos Bergantinos Diaz in Spain. The kicker is that the dealers apparently found the forger on a street corner in New York City! The painter, Pei Shen Qian from China, may have had the talents of Bomer’s character on White Collar, but I’m pretty sure the FBI will not be hiring him any time soon to help crack cases.
It’s true there are some amazing artists that sell their creations on street corners all over Manhattan. Check out this list of the some of the best street art location in New York. One reason we love hanging out in the city is that it seems to heighten our creative juices. For me those juices motivate images, like the one today of Radio City Music Hall.
