I love color and contrast, even if I have to push the limits of post-processing to get the look I am after. I know not everyone will agree with this strategy, but I don’t take pictures to please others. My image making is primarily about feeding my own creative energy, wherever that may take me. This is something I feel is important for all of us to do!
But staying true to our creative nature is not so easy! Picasso once said:
Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.
Watching how creative my son is motivates me to do everything I can to nurture that energy and ensure it is not squandered in school. If you have not seen the TED talk by Sir Ken Robinson about how school kills creativity, I encourage you to watch it.
