One of the great benefits of traveling to New York City every quarter is the access we have to great theater. Now Portland is no slouch when it comes to wonderful stage productions, but there is something special about seeing a show on Broadway.
Among my all-time favorite productions is The Phantom of the Opera, Broadway’s longest running show and the one in which all others get compared (well maybe not all others, but it sounded good saying that). Not everyone is a fan of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s 1986 musical (like my wife for instance), but I have always loved the heart-pounding tunes that go with this tragic love story.
If you are into this sort of thing, you might enjoy this behind the scenes look at the Phantom.
