We begin this site about eight months ago as a daily photo blog about our experiences traveling to New York City every quarter, and spending time in nature at a little forest service cabin in the woods. It was in part an experiment to see if Kelly and I could work together on a project, and also because we felt our family experiences might benefit others.
When we first conceived of the site we struggled with exactly what it would be about. Was it mainly a photography blog, or did we want to also focus on family travel, lifestyle challenges, and other aspects of our day to day life? We bantered back and forth for months before deciding to go forward without a complete vision of what it was all about.
One thing we have learned is that sometimes you just have to start and trust that it will evolve as it should. During the past months my photography and writing have revealed more about our interests and focus, and Kelly’s digital marketing strategies have helped us better understand who comes to our site and how we can meet their needs.
THANK YOU FOR BEING PART OF OUR JOURNEY!
We are excited to roll out new menu items which captures more clearly what we feel this site is really about!
If you’ve come to our site over the past 30 days you may have noticed that the site was down. We have moved our hosting from Lunar Pages to Bluehost and so far are much more stable. We apologize for any inconvenience and we are in the midst of upgrading to a Genesis framework to be more mobile responsive and stable overall!
