First a big apology to our dedicated readers who have likely noticed that the blog has been down for over two weeks. In blog time that is way too long! The good news is that our little break has allowed us time to think more about how we want the site to evolve, and setup a plan to upgrade it so we will not experience any further downtimes like this in the future. In the weeks ahead you will see a new menu bar reflective of the direction we are taking this blog, added eBooks for sale, and enhanced functionality on mobile devices. New direction you say?
Well, not really. It’s just that once we reread the past six months of posts we knew the essence of the site was about helping you lead a more meaningful life. It’s something we obsess about a lot – in a good way! And because we live every day in the trenches, we want to share with you what we learn. So get ready, there is a lot more to come!
A RAINY DAY IN THE FOREST
We spent the weekend on the mountain hoping to ski, but it was a wet and rainy couple of days so we stayed inside most of the time. Trevor was lucky to hang with a friend and play Magic for most of a day, until we met up with the family for dinner at one of our favorite dining spots, The Rendezvous Grill. The mom is an amazing artist that uses charcoal to create some of the most moving images of horses I have ever seen. Right now she is displaying and selling some of her work at the restaurant, so it was fun meeting there and being surrounded by her creations. If you love horses you have to check out her work at Alison Burnett Equine Art.
I did manage to sneak out this morning for a couple hours of shooting during a stay in the weather. The image today is a wet area between our cabin and the Zig Zag River. Usually, we do our best to hop a few rocks on the way to river and rarely take the time to examine just how beautiful and green this little tributary is, but today I did!
