After listening to a free jazz concert in the architecturally stunning Jay Pritzker Pavilion, I wandered aimlessly into the Lurie Garden. What a photographically stunning five acre oasis in the heart of the city! The diversity of plant life blew me away. Equally as impressive is that this garden is built on top of an underground network of parking garages. It is a terrific example of blending the best of urban and natural environments into a sustainable park for all to enjoy. If you visit Chicago, I highly suggest you put this garden on your list of to-dos.
