A couple of days ago I blogged about the cool new condo building at 245 Tenth on the Highline, but today I think I have a better option for our family when we visit, it’s known as HL23. The metallic Gehry-like structure was actually built by L.A. architect Neil Denari and houses only 14 condo units. What is so interesting about the building is that it’s about 40 percent wider on top than its street level footprint. Of course this means we really want a unit on one of the higher floors so we can enjoy a bit more space, but thus far I have found none for sale. There is a great article on what it’s like living in luxury on the Highline that has some funny quotes from tenets who do more than fantasize like we do. In all honesty, it’s hard to imagine putting so much money into a place to live.
