Perhaps the most famous architect living today is Frank Gehry, known for such creations including the: Guggenheim Museum Bilbao (Spain), Experience Music Project (Seattle), Walt Disney Concert Hall (L.A.), and the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park in Chicago. His world-wide portfolio of accomplishments is interesting to peruse, because his style is so unique. I think you either like it or you wonder how this guy ever came to achieve rock-star status among designers.
He has done numerous famous projects in New York City, including InterActiveCorp’s headquarter building completed in 2007 which is the image today. If you are not familiar with his work, you might enjoy this interview he did over ten years ago.
While most of the images shown on this blog are taken with Pentax DSLR equipment, this one actually was taken by a FujiFilm compact camera. Although a little dated now, I still take it along on trips where I don’t want to carry my heavier, bulkier gear.
