Although Trevor can ride a mean bike, we have yet to take advantage of the new bike share program run by Citi Bike. It opened in May and is the nation’s largest bike sharing program with over 4,000 bikes! There are over 300 stations all over New York City where you can rent a bike, ride around, and return it without hassles. A yearly pass is $95 and day passes run $9.95. The only catch is that extra fees kick in if a bike is not returned to a station within 30 minutes. So the program is designed for commuters, not so much tourists who want to wander the city on a bike. That said, I am excited to try it out and race a few taxis!
This shot was taken along the western seaboard, I believe close to the Chelsea Waterside Park. I processed the photo in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom which I use to manage my collection of images as well as do most of my photo editing. While I am not a huge fan of other Adobe products, I would be lost without Lightroom. The program makes it so easy to create cool effects like what I did with this photo in a just a few clicks.
