If you visit New York get used to seeing the Donald’s last name – TRUMP – plastered all over the city. The Wollman ice skating rink was originally opened in 1949 from a donation by Kate Wollman. In 1980 it shut down for repairs and six years later it was still closed. The Donald came to the rescue and threw in some money and in three months the work was completed and the rink reopened to the public, with a minor name change. Yes, it is now called the Trump Rink in Central Park.
It’s hard to not appreciate Donald’s fierce tenacity to get things done, and done right. Sure he has a big ego, makes mistakes like the rest of us, and uses a bit too much hair spray. But he is a man who has found his calling and lived it for better or worse, something we all need to do.
The image today is dedicated to the Donald and to all the good things he has done! We so often like to take down those who have been successful, to see them break. Why is that? Perhaps it’s because when big personalities fall from grace it lets us off the hook for the ways we are not living up to our own potential?
